Where they started
Wall Rebel sells wall flags, metal posters and posters, with designs across seventeen themes: pop art, Japanese, music, gaming, cars, space, sports and more. Its customers don't start with the format. They start with what they're into, then pick a flag or a poster. The store had to work that way round, and handle every design in three formats without three times the work.
What we changed
A custom Shopify theme, kept light
The store runs on a custom theme built for Wall Rebel: kept light so pages stay fast, and built around how the store sells, from the theme pages and the menu to the cart.
Themes first, formats second
Every theme has its own page across all three formats, plus a collection for each format: seventeen themes, three formats.
A menu built on the same grid
The menu offers each format by theme, and an "explore all themes" page serves people who are still browsing.
The brand's voice in the store
"Add to wall" instead of "add to cart", "your wall is empty", a progress bar to free shipping: the store reads the way the brand talks.
A wishlist without an account
Saved designs stay in the browser, so a visitor can come back to them without signing up.
What they can do now
- Add a design once and have it appear under its theme and its format.
- Let customers browse by interest and choose the format last.
- Send a campaign about a theme straight to a page that shows everything in it.
