Where they started
Kelile makes leather-free fabric wallets, everyday bags and bags for the ride, on a motorcycle or a bicycle, designed and made in India. The range reaches very different buyers: someone after a slim wallet, a rider after a helmet bag, a company buying gifts for its team. The store had to sell to all of them from launch, and take gifting and bulk enquiries from companies alongside orders from individuals.
What we changed
A custom Shopify theme, kept light
The theme is custom, built for Kelile's range and kept light. At launch the storefront loads Shopify's own scripts and the checkout's, and nothing else.
Collections built for choosing
Each collection opens with its own types as quick links: slim, bifold, RFID and zip wallets, card holders and passport holders on the wallets page. Cards show how many colours a product comes in. A product with one option adds to the cart from the card; one with several asks the shopper to pick a colour first.
The buy button stays in reach
On a product page, add to cart stays on screen as the shopper reads, and the details sit in short sections: key features, description, dimensions, shipping and returns. On a phone, a bar along the bottom keeps the menu, the shop, search and the cart one tap away, and adds filters on collection pages.
Corporate gifting, with its own page
Every product page links to corporate gifting and bulk enquiries. The gifting page asks for what a quote needs: the company and a work email, the estimated quantity, wallets or bags, the budget per gift and the date it's needed by.
What they can do now
- Sell to individuals and take gifting and bulk orders from companies on the same store.
- Add a product once and have it show under its kind of carry, with its colours on the card.
- Receive gifting enquiries that already state the quantity, the budget and the date.
- Grow the range on templates built for it.
