Where they started
Corporate Legal Partners is a New Delhi law firm led by an Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India, practising across eleven areas of commercial law. Under the Bar Council of India rules, advocates can't advertise. What the firm wanted was a place to write: its counsel's notes and analysis on the statutes they work with, published for information, on a site that stays out of the way of the reading.
What we changed
A custom theme, built for speed
The theme was written for this site. There's no page builder, and only two plugins load on the front end: the contact form and Google Site Kit. Pages are light, so the writing opens quickly on any phone.
The writing, given its own place
Articles and notes have their own section in the main menu, and the latest pieces appear on the home page. Each is written by the counsel who argue these matters, and published for information rather than as advice.
Practice areas that explain the law
Eleven practice pages, each setting out the law involved and where it is heard: the Supreme Court, the High Courts, NCLT and NCLAT, the Debts Recovery Tribunals and arbitral tribunals.
Within the rules, from the first visit
Visitors read the Bar Council of India disclaimer and confirm they are visiting of their own accord before they enter.
