The Problem

Why your website
isn't doing its job

Most business owners think their website looks fine. Their customers think it's slow, confusing, and forgettable. Here's what's usually actually wrong.

01
No clear positioning
Visitors arrive and can't immediately tell what you do, who you serve, or why you over anyone else. If the answer to 'what is this?' isn't obvious in 5 seconds, they leave.
02
The design is generic
Template-looking sites signal undifferentiated businesses. If your site looks like every other company in your category, buyers have no reason to remember you — let alone enquire.
03
Slow load times on mobile
60–70% of business search is mobile. If your site takes more than 3 seconds to load on a phone, a significant portion of your visitors are gone before they've seen a word.
04
No lead generation path
Traffic arrives, browses a few pages, and leaves. No clear CTA, no frictionless contact form, no follow-up path. The site generates traffic but doesn't convert it into enquiries.
05
You can't update it yourself
Every time you need to change a service description or add a case study, you're waiting on a developer and paying for the privilege. A website you can't manage is a liability.
06
Built for the brief, not the buyer
Looks great in the client presentation. Doesn't convert in the wild. Aesthetics and conversion are not the same thing — and most web agencies optimise for the former.

What We Deliver

What a Web Design & Build
engagement includes

We don't sell reports. Every engagement covers strategy, design, and development — from wireframes to launch. Every deliverable is tied to business outcomes, not aesthetic sign-off.

01
UI/UX Design
Every project starts with user flows, wireframes, and Figma prototypes — not a blank canvas in the browser. Design decisions are grounded in how real users navigate, decide, and act.
User Flows Wireframes Figma Design Systems
02
Marketing Websites
Purpose-built for WordPress, Framer, or Webflow depending on what your business needs. Structured around your buyer's journey, with clear messaging and conversion paths built in.

Custom Web Applications
When an off-the-shelf platform isn't enough. React-based applications, interactive tools, portals, and anything that requires bespoke functionality or complex integrations.

Performance Engineering
Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse 90+, WCAG 2.1 AA — built in as design constraints, not audited at the end. Fast, accessible sites rank better and convert better.

Performance Standards

Built fast. Built right.
Built to be found.

Speed and accessibility aren't features we add at the end. They're constraints we design and build to from day one — because slow, inaccessible sites cost you traffic, enquiries, and rankings.

90+
Lighthouse Performance Score
Our target for every build. Measured after launch on real devices, not just lab conditions. Slow scores aren't shipped.
<2.5s
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
Google's primary measure of perceived load speed. We treat it as a design constraint — image sizing, lazy loading, and asset delivery are all part of the brief.
AA
WCAG 2.1 Accessibility Standard
Contrast ratios, keyboard navigation, semantic HTML, ARIA labels — built in from the start. Accessibility is part of the build, not an audit we run at the end.
CLS < 0.1 — no layout shift
INP < 200ms — instant interactions
Mobile-first responsive design
WebP image optimisation

How It Works

a site that earns its keep

We don't skip the discovery and UX work that makes the design actually convert.

Discovery
We map business goals, target audience, and buyer journey before any design decisions are made.

02
UX & Wireframes
User flows and low-to-high fidelity wireframes in Figma. The content and structure are proven before visual design begins.
Week 1–2
03
Design
High-fidelity screens with real copy, real interactions, and real visual design. Approved by you before development starts.
Weeks 2–3
04
Build & QA
Development on your chosen platform. Cross-device testing, Lighthouse auditing, accessibility checks. Nothing ships under standard.
Weeks 3–5
05
Launch & Iterate
We monitor post-launch data, iterate based on what we see, and stay available. Launch is the start, not the finish line.

FAQ

Common questions

Which platforms do you build on?
WordPress for content-heavy marketing sites, manufacturer portals, and service business websites. Framer for modern, design-forward marketing sites with strong visual identity. Webflow for custom marketing sites where clients need to manage content without a developer. React for custom web applications, complex interactive tools, and anything requiring bespoke functionality. We also build ecommerce stores on Shopify and WooCommerce — though that's typically handled as a separate engagement through our Ecommerce Design & Build service.
Do you handle design and development in-house?
Yes, fully. Every project starts in Figma — user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes. Design is approved before development begins. We then build in-house. No handoffs between separate agencies. One team accountable for the entire output.
What does the design process look like?
Discovery first — we map the business goals, target audience, and buyer journey before touching design. Then wireframes in low fidelity, refined to high-fidelity screens in Figma with real copy and interactions. You approve the design before a line of code is written. Development follows, then QA, performance testing, and launch. We don't skip the diagnostic work that makes the design actually convert.
What performance standards do your builds meet?
We target Lighthouse Performance scores of 90+ on all builds. Core Web Vitals thresholds — LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1, INP under 200ms — are design and build constraints. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance on every project. Slow, inaccessible sites get penalised by search engines and abandoned by users.
Do you build ecommerce stores too?
Yes — Shopify and WooCommerce are our two ecommerce platforms. Ecommerce builds are handled as a separate engagement with a different focus (conversion rate, checkout optimisation, product pages, CAC). See our Ecommerce Design & Build service for that.
