Optimize your pages
for top search engine rankings
WebImpetus automatically generates keywords and key phrases, description and page title from the page content. In this way, WebImpetus pages are highly targeted and search-engine-efficient.

You can turn off all of these automated options for any page you create.

There are many user-definable options to allow you to override the system defaults, if you want to.

Automated keywords
When WebImpetus trawls through your text for keywords, it does so bearing in mind the following:

Default Keywords
These words are included every time

Defined keywords
You can define your own keywords and key phrases. WebImpetus knows to include them, if they appear in the page content, before trawling for more.

Maximum numbers of keywords allowed
You can specify this. The trick is to get the number just right - having loads of keywords can count against you with some search engines.

Keyword Duplicates
Here you specify how many times you want a word to appear in your keywords and key phrases. Having the same word there a lot can be considered spamming by some search engines and count against you.

Rejected words
This is a user-defined list of words that you never want to appear in your keywords.

Conjunctions
These words can be used to create key phrases. "And", for instance, means that having "thunder and lightning" in your text would create three keywords/phrases: "thunder", "lightning" and "thunder and lightning".

Automated description
WebImpetus automatically generates a Description Meta tag.

Description Tag Length
The length of the tag is a user-definable preference.

Automated page title
Likewise, the system creates the page title (the one that appears in the title bar of the browser window). It uses similar routines to the ones for automated keywords, so that the title reinforces the most important material on the rest of the page.

Title Separator
You define what character you want to use to separate the different elements of the title (comma, dash, and so on)

Title Tag Length
The maximum length of the title can be user-defined.

Deduplicating Title Words
You can define whether you want to remove duplicate words from the title.

Reject Title Words
This option lets you use the same list of rejected words that have for keywords.
